What is hormone optimization?

Safety
Recent, large-scale studies, most notably the 2023-2025 TRAVERSE trial, have confirmed that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is generally safe for men with low testosterone, not significantly increasing risks of major cardiovascular events, prostate cancer, or worsening urinary symptoms. The FDA removed previous cardiovascular warnings from labels based on these findings.

Health issues - (high blood pressure, diabetes, hypothyroidism)
A lot of men ask us about their other health issues in relation to hormone therapy. Many of which are not adversely affected by treatment. High blood pressure, diabetes, and other ailments are typically not an issue in relation to TRT. But the best solution is to discuss these issues with a BioRestore clinician to gain a holistic view of your health.
Can I use my recent bloodwork to qualify?
Possibly! If your bloodwork results are less than 90 days old and include all the biomarkers that we check for in the process of offering treatment, then we are able to work from your current bloodwork records.
Does this help with Erectile Dysfunction?
Erectile Dysfunction is a multi-faceted issue. Some men do see improvement in erectile issues after beginning testosterone treatment. For others, there may be a different underlying issue causing ED. Can my doctor prescribe testosterone?
Most primary care physicians avoid TRT prescriptions simply because it is a preventative and ongoing treatment.
